I turned some Emily Brontë poems into songs. You can check them out here if you want.

The sound skilfully treads a fine line between distortion and haunting melodies which are particularly evocative of these short days” - Louder Than War

Ali Murray - It Is Too Late (Emily Brontë poem)

It is too late to call thee now,
 I will not nurse that dream again;
For every joy that lit my brow
 Would bring its after-storm of pain.

Besides the mist is half withdrawn,
 The barren mountain-side lies bare,
And sunshine and awaking morn
 Paint no more golden visions there.

Yet ever in my grateful breast
Thy darling shade shall cherished be;
For God alone doth know how blessed
My early years have been in thee!

Announcing my new EP , ”Poems of Emily Brontë”. Four songs based on the bleak poetry of the late Emily Brontë. Available for listening and downloading on Bandcamp. Name your own price.

2013

Hello.

Well, 2013 is hurtling towards its end, so I figured I’d just write a little bland uninformative update.

There hasn’t been any Ali Murray releases this year due to me being busy with my other music project, Vapour Night, and life in general… Hopefully there should be some more music in the coming year, so stay tuned. Thank you to anyone who has shown me support over the past year. You know who you are.

Here are some links to my music if anyone is interested…
